Patricks Festival Killarney is very excited to welcome AbleFest on March 16 th . ‘Plunge for Palliative’ Dunk tank in aid of Kerry Hospice on March 17 th featuring a variety of local faces! And of course, the main event will be the dazzling Parade through Killarney town on St Patricks Day, March 17 th followed by music and Usually, the town of Killarney holds a multi-day festival to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. It involves parades, fun zones, street céilís, themed lake cruises, treasure hunts, teen discos and more. Unfortunately, the 2020 St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Killarney has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus. Waterford hosted Ireland’s first St Patrick’s Day parade in 1903 and, as the birthplace of the Tricolour, which Thomas Francis Meagher flew in the city in 1848, takes great pride in the occasion. St Patrick’s Festival Killarney is a celebration of our culture and heritage, and it heralds the start of the tourist season in the tourist capital of the world.
